About the Doctor
John E. Aversa, D.M.D., F.A.C.D.S.
Dr. Aversa established A
Perfect Smile Dental Arts practice with the goal of providing quality
patient care in a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere. After graduating from
Fairleigh Dickinson School of Dentistry in 1986, he completed his
post-graduation General Practice Residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Paterson
where he maintains an affiliation. He also has privileges at Valley Hospital.
Practicing in Waldwick, NJ since 1988, Dr. Aversa is known
for his caring, gentle nature, which has made him very popular with patients.
To keep up with the latest dental advancements, he is a member of numerous
dental organizations, including the American Dental Association, New Jersey
Dental Association, Bergen County Dental Association and Association of General
Dentists, and the Ridgewood Valley Study Club.
Dr. Aversa was recently inducted as a Lifetime Distinguished Fellow of
the American College of Dental Science (F.A.C.D.S.).
In his spare time, Dr. Aversa enjoys exercising by swimming, biking and
skiing. Dr Aversa also takes pleasure
in music and plays the guitar.
About the Staff
Laura - Office Manager
Laura has been in the dental field for over 20
years. Laura started her early years as
an assistant and has since worked at every position in a dental office. All this experience has made Laura an
indispensable addition in understanding all phases of dentistry. Her varied skills and acquired on-the-job
experience base makes her well suited in her position as Office Manager.
Serena - Hygienist
Serena’s enthusiasm for Hygiene is
infectious. Her zeal for her profession
is unmatched. Serena’s philosophy about
hygiene is to teach our patients how to care for themselves. “Hygiene isn’t just about cleaning someone’s
teeth. It’s motivating and modifying
someone’s habits to change for the better.”
Ava - Assistant
Ava works side-by-side with the doctor in all
phases of treatment. She is organized
and is in charge of following up with patient care. Ava is extremely proficient with helping patients understand
and follow through with their treatment.
She works in conjunction with the various dental laboratories to ensure
that treatment is carried through smoothly.
