The dental community is used to dealing with infection control. In the early 1980's the AIDS crisis appeared. Since then we have been using Universal Precautions. This means we have always treated everyone as if they have a communicable disease. We have always autoclaved (sterilized) all instruments and use disposables whenever possible. Hospital-grade disinfectants are used in the rooms after every appointment.
For the protection of all our patients and staff, we are requesting the following we recommend you cancel and reschedule your dental appointment you experience any of the following symptoms:
- fever or nausea
- severe headaches or body aches
- muscle or stomach pain, chest pain, or difficulty breathing
- vomiting or diarrhea
- active tuberculosis (TB)
- mumps, measles, chickenpox
- other contagious diseases
